Dates and deadlines

Thinking of applying to study at Jesus? Here's the application timetable.

Early September 2024
Universities and Colleges Admissions Service​ (UCAS) opens for applications for entry in 2025 or 2026.

1 September 2024
This is the deadline for submitting a transcript, if you've applied for an Organ Scholarship (TBC).

15 September 2024
This is the final registration deadline for the National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT). Registration opens on 1 August 2024. Please note that the LNAT has sittings prior to the UCAS deadline.

16 September 2024
This is the deadline to register for the Engineering and Science Admissions Test (ESAT) and Test of Mathematics for University Admission (TMUA) admissions tests. This is also the deadline to apply for a bursary voucher for these tests. Please note that if you require specific access arrangements, the deadline to apply for these is 29 August 2024.

19 September 2024
This is the deadline to register for the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) if you want to study Medicine.

26 September 2024
If you're applying to study Medicine, you must have taken the UCAT by this date.

15 October 2024
This is the deadline (6pm UK time) to submit your UCAS application.

You must sit the LNAT by this date if you want to study Law.

You must sit the ESAT on 15 or 16 October if you want to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Engineering, Natural Sciences or Veterinary Medicine.

22 October 2024
This is the deadline (6pm UK time) to submit My Cambridge Application. This is an extra application form that you need to complete if you want to study at Cambridge. 

This is the deadline to provide your transcript if you're an international student.

This is the deadline to submit your Extenuating Circumstances Form (ECF).

Early November 2024
The deadline to submit written work, if you're applying to a subject that has requested it, will also be in early November.

Mid to late November 2024
If your application is successful you'll get an email inviting you to an interview. If your application was unsuccessful you'll receive an email to let you know.

First three weeks of December 2024
This is when your interview will take place, and possibly an assessment, depending on the course you have applied for. Find out how to prepare for an interview.

January 2025
This is when emails will be sent to let you know if you're being offered a place or if your application is unsuccessful. You will receive the decision via UCAS first. Find out what to do when you are told the outcome of your application.

February 2025
If you're applying for a Choral Award, the deadline will be around mid February.
If you're applying for an Instrumental Award, the deadline will be in mid-late February.

Mid August 2025
If you've been offered a place you'll receive your final decision letter after examination results have been published. Find out what to do when you get your exam results.

Early September 2025 (or 2026 for deferred applicants)
If you've met the conditions of your offer and accepted it, you'll get your Freshers’ Pack by email.

End of September to early October 2025 (or 2026 for deferred applicants)
Your first term will begin!
